Hock Tools has been offering top-quality blades for planes and spokeshaves since 1982 as well as the ever-popular Wooden Plane Kits. And now, Ron Hock has written The Perfect Edge, the Ultimate Guide to Sharpening for Woodworkers, available from www.hocktools.com or your favorite bookstore.

After graduating from the College of the Redwoods Fine Woodworking Program, Kevin Glen Drake founded the Glen-Drake Toolworks in Fort Bragg, California where he combines woodworking, tool making, and education. Kevin is dedicated to the task of making tools that will become a part of peoples lives and the lives of their heirs. To do that he follows a few simple guidelines, including: 1) A tool should feel like an extension of your body 2) A tool should be multi-functional 3) A tool should enhance the process of working 4) A tool should be manageable 5) A tool should have a low environmental impact 6) Tools should be used by the people who make them. Don't miss this opportunity to talk to Kevin and see him demonstrate the tools and techniques that have been developed at the Glen-Drake Toolworks. (A number of tools that Kevin makes are distributed by Lie-Nielsen, including the popular Tite-Mark marking gauge.)

Czeck Edge began the manufacture of layout hand tools for woodworking craftsmen in July of 2005. Their venture was an outgrowth of producing awls and marking knives for fellow craftsmen in the Atlanta area woodworking community. Encouraged by these users, they were moved to create a company and offer our tools commercially. Their vision then as now, is to provide tools with bench made quality, high performance and affordable prices. They use the finest materials and a combination of traditional and state-of-the-art processes to achieve these goals.

Woodworker West has been promoting craftsmanship in woodworking in the Western United States for 22 years. This bimonthly publication covers woodworking news and techniques, as well as exhibits, opportunities, classes, and other events of interest to the woodworking community.

The Society of American Period Furniture Makers is a non-profit organization dedicated to American period furniture. They provide a valuable resource for maintaining and reproducing historical furniture styles.
