Hock Tools has been offering top-quality blades for planes and spokeshaves since 1982 as well as the ever-popular Wooden Plane Kits. And now, Ron Hock has written The Perfect Edge, the Ultimate Guide to Sharpening for Woodworkers, available from www.hocktools.com or your favorite bookstore.

After graduating from the College of the Redwoods Fine Woodworking Program, Kevin Glen Drake founded the Glen-Drake Toolworks in Fort Bragg, California where he combines woodworking, tool making, and education. Kevin is dedicated to the task of making tools that will become a part of peoples lives and the lives of their heirs. To do that he follows a few simple guidelines, including: 1) A tool should feel like an extension of your body 2) A tool should be multi-functional 3) A tool should enhance the process of working 4) A tool should be manageable 5) A tool should have a low environmental impact 6) Tools should be used by the people who make them. Don't miss this opportunity to talk to Kevin and see him demonstrate the tools and techniques that have been developed at the Glen-Drake Toolworks. (A number of tools that Kevin makes are distributed by Lie-Nielsen, including the popular Tite-Mark marking gauge.)

Blue Spruce Toolworks started in 2002 as a part time adventure for Dave Jeske, a mechanical engineer and avid woodworker. The business blossomed to full time in January of 2005 after introducing a top rated marking knife and securing a manufacturing contract for other woodworking tools.  The product line has continued to grow with additional marking and layout tools,  a variety of specialty chisels and an innovative, award winning mallet.  Blue Spruce Toolworks’ desire is to develop hand tools that combine beautiful form and perfect function, tools that inspire a woodworker to do their finest work. Keep watching for new products to be introduced in 2010.

For the past twenty-five years, Bridge City Toolworks has been producing innovative and impeccably crafted heirloom tools for serious woodworkers and collectors worldwide. Made in America, all of their tools are produced in limited numbers and with minimal care should continue to inspire your children's children. The look, feel, and accuracy of each Bridge City Tool influences woodworkers to do their best work.
