Lie-Nielsen in Australia
Our very own Curtis Turner is traveling all the way "down under" to lead a series of half-day hand tool workshops across Australia!
Curtis has worked for Lie-Nielsen Toolworks for over 17 years as a teacher, demonstrator, and member of our board of directors. He travels all over the world teaching woodworkers how to sharpen, set up, and successfully use a wide range of Lie-Nielsen tools.
Each of these workshops will cover the fundamentals of traditional hand tool woodworking, from start to finish.
Through hands-on demonstrations, you will learn tool selection, setup, use and techniques, general maintenance, and sharpening.
In Melbourne: Thursday, Oct. 9 and Friday, Oct. 10 | 8am-12pm | 1pm-5pm
In Newrybar: Thursday, Oct. 16 and Friday, Oct. 17 | 8am-12pm | 1pm-5pm
Since 2018, WOOD DUST has brought craftspeople from around the world to Australia to lead workshops, lectures, and community events, inspiring woodworkers from all walks of life.
Curtis will lead workshops for two weekends, in the backstreets of Melbourne and in the heart of Newrybar NSW. In each half-day workshop, he will give hands-on demonstrations with Lie-Nielsen tools and teach you all the fundamentals of hand tool woodworking.
